I have been in love with photography for as long as I can remember. Basically, I am self taught by trial and error and lots of online studies. Lemon Street Gallery, is my favorite Gallery that I am proud to say I am a member. I also show at several other 'gift shops' located in South Milwaukee, Oak Creek, and on the border of Wisconsin/Illinois line in Russell, with hopes to add a few more in the near future. I also enjoy my role as a very active Administrative role on Facebook's Picture of the Month Photography Group.
When doing photography I mostly find all my surroundings as my inspirations. God's handiwork is everywhere for one to observe and take part in. I am influenced by the beautiful artwork in front of my camera lens when I am taking a walk or ride through the woods, along the lake front or down a rustic road. Fall colors inspire me as well as an early sunrise. I also find that I 'see' beauty in what most would normally walk past. I love taking pictures of an old decaying tree, rustic objects, barns that have seen many years of history. I love wild flowers the most, and also just 'weeds' can transpire a lot of beauty, as they can be very graceful and beautiful. Most of them just need a bit of help to show the beauty within them. I see this through the lens of my camera and my mind's eye, then bring it home to transpire a piece of art through digital imagining on the computer, I refer to as my Digital Photo Art. I also enjoy 'creating' completely new images out of the pictures I take. I 'see' the image in my mind as more colorful, or completely different shape, and create one of a kind pictures. No two pictures are the same. |
