In memoriam of a dear friend and one of Lemon Street's founding artists....
Art has always been in important part of my life...unknowingly! Forever sketching on margins in school books, covers, etc., later designing my own clothing and accessories. It was not until the late 60's that I signed up for a "formal" painting class at the Kenosha Public Museum. The teacher was John Goray - a wild abstractionist - who helped inspire in me the exciting and dramatic use of color. Soon opportunities arose to hang my artwork at galleries in Racine, Kenosha and North Carolina.
