I am a saver from a long history of savers. If my mom and dad were still married, there would be no place to sit down at their home.

My biggest recent treasure find was a kid drawing on the ground with a slight cigarette burn in it at the Muskego Post office. It’s a butterfly caterpillar creature of sorts who continues to smile while two beings fly over her, one yelling angrily in each ear.

So, many of my collages, drawings and vintage box assemblages revolve around perseverance and creating other little peacefulworlds with bits of things gone by. Funeral cards, bird feathers, irregular old tiny red heart prayer beads and Humphrey’s wiry pighair woven into a nest. One of my Friends said about my Goodyear Welt or Turn Needle box assemblage, “I would like to climb in there and just close the lid.” That made me happy. That’s the whole point.
