I am fascinated by light and shadow and the way they define the shapes of my subjects.  I want to have the viewer transported to that special place where I was when inspired to do the painting.  The inspiration for my floral paintings comes from the peace and tranquility I feel when walking through my daughter’s gardens.

My architectural paintings, especially lighthouses give me a sense of the past, and I can almost feel the presence of the people that once lived in them.  I simply paint the things that I find beautiful and interesting.
