Watercolor painting has always amazed me, my desire is to create those beautiful paintings I admire. After retirement I enrolled in watercolor classes and the journey began.
Nature is the inspiration for most of my paintings. Trees, birds and hydrangeas (my favorite flower) are some of the many things I love to paint along with barns and farm scenes. Painting sunrises and sunsets is another passion of mine, with watercolors I can create some wonderful dramatic skies. Generally, I paint from photos of a variety of subjects that have caught my eye or stirred a feeling in me, either a photo I’ve taken myself or one from family and friends. It’s my objective to capture the mood that a photo projects, a landscape that beckons in a photo or a memory. |
