EXHIBIT GUIDELINES (quick version)
1.All correspondence (exhibit reminders, unscheduled opportunities, etc) from staff to artist members will be made via email. If you do not read your email, refer to your annual calendar and stop in the gallery often for updates. Generally, no one will call you to tell you stuff. 2.All major hanging dates are set a year in advance, so you should have no problem knowing when your work must arrive at the gallery. The exhibit schedule comes out annually in late November. Please add these dates to a calendar you regularly use. 3.All artwork must be delivered ready to display by the due date, or it will not be installed at that particular location until space allows. You can deliver artwork early if necessary, but we will not rearrange an exhibit to accommodate late work. 4.All hanging artwork MUST HAVE picture wire on the back for hanging. Saw-tooth, or any other hanging device, is not acceptable. 5.All hanging work MUST HAVE a label attached to the back or the wire that includes the artist’s name, the title, medium, price AND an LSG inventory number (we provide these numbers.) It is very difficult to identify artwork and hang tags without this info on the actual art, especially since we exhibit so much work outside the gallery. No matter where the artwork is, we should be able to take any piece off the wall and know everything we need to know about it. 6.All LSG members’ work is insured in any gallery-sponsored location as long as it’s on your Inventory Sheet
