Artist Statement:

I create my art to please myself but also the viewer. Just as others work in other art forms such as music, culinary arts or other pursuits that please and entertain me, I hope my work returns the favor and pleases them. My goal is to inspire those who see my work and create a satisfying and appealing feeling.
I work in other mediums but in most cases I work in transparent watercolor. My subject matter is nature, usually traditional landscape. I do my work in a realistic manner but always try to embrace a loose, fresh quality to my painting. I like the spontaneity of watercolors. There is no going back and correcting when painting with watercolors but I like it that way.
